Michael Delahanty, Salem Superintendent of Schools, on behalf of the Salem School Board, announced that the Salem School District will host three separate Open House events for the three newly renovated and expanded elementary schools. All are welcome to visit on or all the schools during these public open houses.
The facilities boast separate learning spaces for small group instruction, special education services, specifically designed kindergarten classrooms, enhanced security and safety features, new gymnasiums, and special rooms for arts’ programs. Additionally, the school libraries now serve as stand-along centers for reading and media services.
Some of the Open Houses coincide with this year’s SalemFest. This presents a wonderful opportunity to take time and visit an Open House or two and spend much of the day visiting the activities of SalemFest.
The schedule for the Open Houses is as follows:
Lancaster School: Friday, September 16th from 6:00-8:00 PM
Barron School: Saturday, September 17th from 10:00 AM-Noon
North Salem School: Saturday, September 17th from 1:00-3:00 PM
There will be brief remarks delivered at the top of the first hour at each Open House and then tour guides will be available to help members of the public explore these facilities. We welcome everyone to view one or all three facilities.
Thank you for your support!
